Take It To The Limit

Near Sacramento on I-80, Aug. 1975. I'm sitting on another hitchhiker's gear as he took the picture. The Iowa sign and stuff was mine. A policeman brought us to this ramp and told us if we didn't hitchhike from that spot exclusively, and took a notion to get back on the interstate, he would surely smite us with a ticket!!! There was at least 10 other people hitchhiking there. This is my Polaroid picture, cropped to make it square. I called the place Hitchhikers' Row. Probably because of my young innocent look, I got a ride before a bunch of the other people. #me #blackandwhite #ForTheLoveOfBlackAndWhite #throwbackthursday . The lettering, "How about a ride?", is something I put on the photo in 1975, with rub-on letters. This was my "Take It To The Limit" trip, from Iowa to the Pacific Ocean (San Francisco), since that was the biggest song on the radio at the time, by The Eagles.
